Q: When should I order a disclosure report?
A: Civil Code §1103.3 requires sellers to provide even prospective transferees natural hazard disclosures as soon as practicable, even before the offer is made. So, we recommend that our clients order a disclosure report at the time of listing.
Q: Will there be a charge for the report if the property falls out of escrow or the property is taken off the market?
A: No, payment is only required if the property sells and closes escrow.
